Grean Peas

Green peas are the edible seeds of the plant Pisum sativum. They are typically harvested while still tender and green, before the seeds fully mature and harden. In this fresh, immature state, peas are sweet, soft, and rich in nutrients — making them a popular vegetable worldwide.

Nutritionally, green peas offer carbohydrates, plant-based protein, dietary fiber, vitamins (especially vitamin C, vitamin K, and B-complex), and minerals, contributing to a balanced diet

Green peas are versatile: depending on processing they can be delivered fresh, frozen, or dried — suitable for everyday meals, food manufacturing (soups, ready meals, snacks), or export markets

How We Processes & Preserves Green Peas

At NuruSafe, we apply proven post-harvest and cold-chain methods so that your green peas arrive fresh, crisp, and ready for market:

Immediate Post-Harvest Cooling — Soon after harvesting, peas are cooled (pre-cooling) to slow down respiration and metabolic activity. This helps preserve sweetness, texture, and freshness

Cold-Chain Storage at Optimal Conditions — We store green peas at near-zero temperatures (~ 0 °C) and high relative humidity (around 95–98%) to maintain moisture, reduce weight loss, and extend freshness.

  • Careful Sorting, Handling & Hygiene — During packing and storage we ensure peas are handled gently to avoid bruising or damage, and stored/crated in clean, food-safe conditions — minimizing risk of spoilage, microbial growth or degradation.

  • Temperature-Controlled Logistics & Cold-Chain Delivery — When transporting peas to markets or buyers, we follow cold-chain procedures to keep produce at appropriate temperature and humidity until arrival — so freshness and quality are maintained even during transit.

Why This Matters

Longer shelf life & freshness — Proper cooling, storage and handling ensure peas remain sweet, crisp, and market-ready longer than average produce handled under ambient conditions.

Reduced waste & higher yield — By minimizing spoilage and quality loss, more of what you harvest actually reaches market in good condition — increasing profitability.

Consistent quality & market standards — With controlled handling and packaging, you get uniform produce that meets buyer expectations — important for local markets, exporters, or bulk buyers.

Access to broader markets — With proper cold-chain and packaging infrastructure, your peas can reach markets farther away (regional or international), increasing opportunities beyond local demand.

Flexibility in timing & logistics — Cold storage and careful packaging give flexibility: you don’t have to rush sale immediately after harvest; you can store until market demand or price is favorable.
