Fruits & Vegetables — Freshness Preserved, Value Delivered
At NuruSafe, we don’t just specialize in one or two crops — we are equipped to handle a wide range of fruits and vegetables under one robust, high-standard post-harvest and cold-chain system. Whether it’s leafy greens, pods, fruits, gourds or assorted vegetables — we ensure each harvest gets the care it needs to reach markets fresh, safe, and high-quality.
Why Proper Handling of Fruits & Vegetables Matters
Produce remains alive even after harvest — Fruits and vegetables continue to respire, lose moisture, and age once picked. Without proper storage, this leads to rapid spoilage, texture degradation, loss of nutritional value, and market rejections.
Temperature and humidity are key — Most perishable produce requires low temperatures (often between 0 °C and 4 °C) and high relative humidity to slow respiration, prevent water loss, and inhibit microbial growth.
Without a controlled cold-chain, losses are high — Spoilage, dehydration, decay and microbial spoilage are common when fruits and vegetables are stored or transported under ambient conditions. These losses waste harvest, reduce income, and result in poor supply reliability
What NuruSafe Offers for Mixed Fruits & Vegetables
Advanced Cold-Chain & Cold-Room Storage
We maintain controlled temperature and humidity suitable for mixed produce — ensuring each item remains crisp, fresh, and nutritious for longer.
Our cold-storage delays ripening, reduces respiration and metabolic activity — preserving firmness, flavor, texture, and nutrients.
Flexible Handling for Diverse Produce Types
Because we handle different produce categories (fruits, vegetables, vegetables pods, etc.), we group items based on their storage needs (temperature, humidity, ethylene sensitivity) to avoid cross-damage or accelerated spoilage.
Post-Harvest Management & Best Practices
We apply gentle handling, proper packaging, and hygiene standards to minimize physical damage, bruising or microbial contamination — common causes of spoilage and quality loss.
We adhere to good storage practices: correct stacking for airflow, spacing between crates/pallets, and if needed segregate produce by type to prevent issues like ethylene-induced ripening or odor transfer.
Reliable Logistics & Supply-Chain Integration
Our cold-chain infrastructure supports not just storage but also transport — enabling safe delivery from our facility to markets, even over longer distances, while maintaining freshness and quality.
Peppers — Quality Handling for Premium Supply
Why Peppers Are Important & Demand Good Handling
Peppers — including sweet peppers (bell peppers) and chillies — are in high demand both locally and internationally. Their value depends heavily on freshness, firmness, color, and shelf-life. However, peppers are delicate and highly perishable: without proper cooling, handling, and storage, they lose moisture quickly, shrivel, decay, or suffer chilling injury
How NuruSafe Handles Peppers — From Harvest to Market
At NuruSafe, we apply post-harvest best practices tailored for peppers, ensuring they remain high-quality from sorting to delivery:
Immediate Pre-Cooling
Right after harvest, peppers are cooled as soon as possible. Rapid precooling helps reduce water loss, respiration rate, and stress — critical for maintaining freshness.
Cold-Chain Storage at Optimal Conditions
We store peppers at the ideal temperature range: around 7 – 10 °C (≈ 45 – 50 °F) with high relative humidity (90 – 95%). This environment slows down deterioration, preserves firmness and visual quality, and extends shelf life to 2–3 weeks under good conditions
Careful Sorting, Grading & Gentle Handling
At reception, peppers are inspected and graded by size, color, firmness and freedom from damage (cracks, bruises, spoilage signs). Only quality produce enters the cold-chain — this helps maintain consistent quality for buyers.
Proper Packaging & Ventilation
We pack in ventilated crates/cartons that allow airflow and avoid moisture build-up — key to preventing decay and maintaining freshness. For export or transport, ventilated, sturdy crates ensure peppers survive handling and transit.
Benefits of Our Pepper Handling
Extended Shelf Life & Freshness — With proper cooling and storage, peppers stay firm, colorful, and crisp for weeks rather than days; this reduces wastage and improves saleability.
Consistent Quality & Appearance — Graded, carefully handled peppers have uniform color, size, and firmness — attractive for retailers, supermarkets, and exporters.
Reduced Post-Harvest Loss & Waste — Minimized spoilage, decay, dehydration and chilling injury ensure more of the harvest reaches market in good condition, raising profitability.
Flexible Supply & Market Timing — With cold-storage capacity, growers/exporters don’t have to sell immediately; peppers can be held until market demand or better prices arise.
Access to Export or Distant Markets — Cold-chain handling and transport capability allow supply to reach distant buyers or export markets reliably, preserving quality in transit.
